Majesty 2 is a real-time strategy game, developed by 1C:Ino-Co and published by Paradox Interactive in September 2009. Majesty 2: Kingmaker is the first expansion pack, released in March 2010.
The game takes place in a fantasy medieval world called Ardania, populated by dwarves, humans, gnomes and everyone's favorite race, elves. Apart from these already classic races, a whole pandemonium of evil monsters are present in the game.
The add-on brings eight new single-player missions to the game, this campaign marking the return of the evil God of Plagues, Grum-Gog. He brought his hordes of minions, the feared goblins, together with new types of monsters. The goblins are no longer just warriors, they now appear as shamans, archers, and even champions.
Player's armies also received a bunch of different abilities: new and improved ice spells for casters and whirlwind fight style for warriors, allowing them to damage multiple enemy units at once. A new "randomize" feature in both single- and multiplayer missions randomly changes the locations of the non-quest mobs and construction sites, adding replayability to the game.
Another important feature brought by the Kingmaker is the Mission creator toolset. This allows players to edit and play their own created missions.
